08:45 am - It's been forever
I have to give much loving thanks and respect to Esther. I was having such a hard time finding a job, and then Esther told me about Remedy. I went down there and next thing you know I was working 12 hour days for a weekend. $217.00 for 3 days, not bad at all. I have know been working for the Columbia Bottling Company(Mainly Pepsi and Sobe products, and a perk is that I get to take home a case a week.) for the last week. I get 9 hours a day with an optional Saturday, which means over time every week. I have been working from 5:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. every day, which is nice, because I have the rest of the day to relax. Now I know that I am in good shape, because it takes me 45 minutes to get to work on my bike. So, I am riding for 1 1/2 hours every day, plus working the 9 hours at work. Once again, not to brag, but they told me that I am doing better than guys that have been there for 3 months or more, and last week was my first week there. The great thing is that when they hire, they pay $20.00 an hour plus full benefits and 401K. So, I am busting my ass to try to get to that point though it might take a few months, as there are 3 people ahead of me. but, if they don't keep up numbers than they are gone and I am closer. You are supposed to put up 60 and hour, which is what 2 of them are doing. Me and another guy are putting up 75 an hour! The only problem is right now I am mostly working outside, and I have a pretty bad sunburn. I think Aloe will help, but any suggestions would be gladly appreciated.

Like i said before thanks a lot Esther, I owe you a lot, maybe I'll cook a nice vegetarian meal for you sometime, and that is saying a lot coming form a carnivore. Much Love to you Esther.

I miss seeing everyone too. Jean-Paul Mel and us have to get together sometime soon since we have been talking about it for so long, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Weekends are easist for me since I have to wake up at 3:45 every morning just to get to work on time.

Oh, yeah if you ever see anyone on the streets begging for money, at least give them some change, it is just the Christian, and right thing to do.

Well, th th th th th th that's all folks, for now.

You can't give my ANY credit, Aaron. As I recall, you called me to ask about Remedy, so it's all you. And you DID cook a vegetarian meal for me the other day, remember? Feel free to cook more vegetarian dinners for me though, I won't mind. It sounds like you're doing well at CBC, and of course I really hope you get hired there, so that maybe you and Bejay will move closer to me!

A couple more things about Remedy. The sucky thing about being a temp is that if CBC does want to hire you, they either need to pay Remedy off, or keep you as a temp for 3-4 months (it's based on hours, not months). The good thing about Remedy is that you can get medical (and dental) insurance after working as a temp for 30 days. It comes out of your pay, but I think it's only $12 (+ $3 if you want dental) a week or something like that. I don't remember how much it is if you wanted to add Bejay on too. From what I remember, the insurance was pretty good. So in a few weeks, I'd DEFINITELY suggest asking Remedy about insurance. I don't think they'll bring it up (although when I was Admin there, I was always trying to bring it up, even stapling little brochures to the paycheck stubs).

And you're right about giving change to people on the streets. Usually I'm not carrying cash, but I'll have to start.
